Jean Bradin was a French actor born on January 27, 1890, in Paris, France. Bradin began his acting career in the early 1910s as a stage actor in Paris. He was notable for his appearances in the Comédie-Française, which is considered one of the most reputable and oldest theaters in France. Bradin was an instrumental figure in advancing the French theater during the early 20th century. Bradin eventually moved on to film acting, appearing in several French films during the silent era. He made his film debut in 1912, appearing in films such as "Les Trois Mousquetaires" (1912) and "Le Mystère des roches de Kador" (1913). He gained national recognition through his role as the prince in the 1914 film "La Flamme." Bradin went on to act in over fifty silent films throughout his career. Despite his success in acting, Bradin was also an author who wrote several books, including a memoir titled "Avant la Gloire, Souvenirs d'un comédien" ("Before the Glory, Memories of an Actor") in 1950. He additionally wrote plays, including "Le Démon de midi" and "L'Amour se fait en passant." Bradin was widely known for his literary style and his ability to capture the essence of human emotions in his works.
