Enneagram Test

Is it me or is the enneagram test on this app not very good? Every test and book I ever read on the Ennegram has always typed me as a 4, and I resonate with that well. I might not behave as a typical four, and I recognise both wings in myself, but the instincts, desires, passions etc. of the 4 are definitely mine, and yet Boo’s test keeps insisting I’m a 6 with a 7 wing, and I don’t recognise myself in that description. Plus I find the descriptions overemphasise the wings. When I read 6 with 7w it sounds like a description of 7 with a little 6 thrown in. 4 with 3w sound like a 3 with a tiny splash of 4, same goes with 4 with 5w - sounds like 5 albeit with a lot more 4 mixed in. I don’t think the wings are that important. The core type is key and I think the instincts are more relevant (self-preservation, social and one-to-one). I like the inclusion of the zodiac signs, the MBTI and cognitive functions and the Enneagram in Boo. I would also have included caldaic numerology - I find it a lot more accurate than modern numerology. But I find these systems of personal exploration to be useless without a deeper understanding of how they work. And the descriptions focus on shallow stereotypes rather than the core motivations that drive the types in each system. What is a zodiac sign without the inclusion of the other planets? At least the moon, the ascendant, mercury, venus and mars - all the personal planets are noticeable in a person’s personality make-up, as well as the aspects these planets make. What’s a MBTI type without an understanding of the cognitive stack. Knowing I’m an INFP is only really helpful when I understand I lead with introverted feeling followed by extroverted intuition - it’s how my brain gathers and processes information - the lens through which I perceive and navigate the world. And with the Ennagram it’s understanding the underlying motivations, drives, instincts, desires, passions, fears etc. of a type that really makes this system helpful.
