Margot Drake was a British actress best known for her work in film, television and theater. Born in Sheffield, England in 1934, Drake began her career in the 1960s as a stage actress in London. Drake made her film debut in 1970 in the British horror film "Cry of the Banshee." She appeared in a number of popular shows, including "Doctor Who," "Midsomer Murders," and "The Bill." She also starred in the 1985 mini-series "Edge of Darkness," which won a BAFTA award for Best Drama Series. Despite her success on stage, film and television, Margot Drake remained relatively unknown to the general public. She was a well-respected actress who was admired by her peers for her talent and dedication to her craft.
