General Information

  • What is Boo? Boo is the app for connecting with compatible and like-minded souls. Date, chat, match, make friends and meet new people by personality. You can download the app for free on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

  • How does Boo work? 1. Discover your personality. Install our free app on iOS or Android and take our free 5-question test to discover your 16 personality type. 2. Recommend compatible personalities. We’ll recommend the personalities you’re likely to love and are compatible with. All you have to do is be yourself. You’re already what each other are looking for. 3. Connect with like-minded souls. You can then choose to like or pass on souls we recommend. Have fun!

  • Is it free to sign up for Boo? All the basic features on Boo are completely free. Like, pass, message, and chat with other like-minded souls.

  • What are personality types? At Boo, our algorithms are driven primarily by personality frameworks, ours specifically borrowing from the Jungian psychology and the Big Five (OCEAN) model. We use personality types to help you understand yourselves and each other—your values, strengths and weaknesses, and ways of perceiving the world. You can read more about why we use personality types.

Personality Matching

  • What is the MBTI (Myers Briggs)? MBTI is a personality framework that categorizes all people into 16 personality types. It provides a theory for how personality is derived as a function of how we perceive the world differently. It is based on the work of Swiss psychiatrist, Carl Jung, the father of analytical psychology.

  • What are the 16 Personality Types? You can find all the personality types here.

  • What is my 16 Personality Type? You can take our take the quiz in our free 16 personalities test here. You may also take the quiz in our app.

  • What’s the best match for my personality type? We recommend the personalities you’re most likely to love and explain why. You can find more information about our matching algorithm here, and how to successfully apply personality type in your dating life and relationships. You may also view recommended types in the Filter on the app.

Boo Account

  • How do I create an account on Boo? You can create an account on Boo by downloading our free app from the Apple App Store for iOS users or from the Google Play Store for Android users.

  • How do I restore my account or log in from a different device? To restore your account or log in from a different device, enter the email address you used during the registration process.

  • Is there a Boo app for PC? There is currently no Boo app download for PC, but you can access the Boo website through your internet browser. The web address for Boo is boo.world.

  • How can I revisit the tutorial? You can revisit the tutorial by navigating to Settings and selecting the "View Tutorial" option. This will reset the tutorial, so that the tips appear as you navigate the app.

  • How do I manage app notifications? You can manage your app notifications by going to Settings and tapping on "Notifications".

  • Why am I not receiving push notifications? Ensure that push notifications are enabled for Boo in your phone's settings. If the problem persists, kindly contact us at hello@boo.world.

  • Is there a "dark mode" option? Yes, you can enable "dark mode" by locating the option in the Settings menu.

  • How can I log out of my account? To log out of your account, go to Settings, select "Account", and then tap "Logout".

Boo Profile

  • How do I edit my profile? To edit your profile, navigate to your profile and select "Edit” at the top right of the screen.

  • Where can I change my name or Boo ID? You can change your name or Boo ID in the "Edit Profile" section. Simply tap on the respective field that you wish to update.

  • How do I change my birthday or correct my age? We do not currently offer the option to directly change your age or birthday in the app. To change your birthday, you will need to contact our support team through the app's Settings under "Send Feedback", or by emailing us at hello@boo.world with your Boo ID.

  • How can I adjust my preferences for who I'm "Looking For"? In the "Edit Profile" section, you will find the "Looking For" field, which you can adjust according to your preferences.

  • How do I delete or manage my photos? You can manage your photos in the "Edit Profile" section. To delete a photo, tap the "-" icon on the top right corner of the photo. Please note that you are required to have at least one photo on your account.

  • Can I add videos to my profile? Absolutely! You can add a video of up to 15 seconds in length to your profile. Simply upload it the same way as you would a photo, in the “Edit Profile” section of the app.

  • How can I retake the personality quiz? If you wish to retake the personality quiz, go to your account page, select the "Edit" option below your profile picture, then tap on "16 Type" followed by "Retake Quiz".

  • Can I hide my zodiac sign from my profile? To manage your zodiac sign visibility, go to the "Edit Profile" section, select “Zodiac”, and toggle on or off "Hide zodiac on profile".

  • Can I change the language setting of the app? Yes, you can change the language of the Boo app in the Settings section under "Language".

Location and Spirit Realm

  • How do I manage my location visibility? You can manage your location visibility in your settings under the "Privacy" section.

  • What is the Spirit Realm? The Spirit Realm is a feature for users who have not enabled location services when setting up their accounts. If you are in the Spirit Realm, your profile will not be shown to other users in their daily recommendations.

  • Can I return to the Spirit Realm? Yes, you can return your location to the Spirit Realm if you have a premium subscription.

  • Can I change my location to find locals? By allowing access to your location, you can set your match filters to show local matches instead of global ones. If you're looking further afield, the teleport feature in Boo Infinity allows you to adjust your location to anywhere in the world to find souls in a specific area.

  • Why is my profile still showing in the spirit realm despite turning it off? To resolve this issue, check if you have granted the app permission to access your location.

    • On Android a. Open your device's Settings app. b. Tap on "Apps & notifications." c. Find and tap on our app. d. Tap on "Permissions." e. If "Location" is not currently enabled, tap on it, then select "Allow." f. d. If your location settings are correct and the issue persists, please contact us through the “Send Feedback” option in Settings on the app, or via email at hello@boo.world.

    • On iOS: a. Open your device's Settings app. b. Scroll down to our app and tap on it. c. If "Location" is not currently enabled, tap on it, then select "While Using the App" or "Always." d. If your location settings are correct and the issue persists, please contact us through the “Send Feedback” option in Settings on the app, or via email at hello@boo.world.

Matching on Boo

  • How many matches can I have per day? We recommend 30 compatible souls each day for free. Additionally, you can send unlimited messages to your matches and interact with others in the Universe and comments section.

  • Can I increase the number of my daily recommendations or swipes? Yes, you can increase your daily recommendation and swipe limit by subscribing to our Boo Infinity subscription plans or by engaging on our forum to earn love and level up.

  • How do I change my filter settings or matching preferences? You can adjust your matching preferences, including gender, relationship type, age, personality type, and distance, in the filter settings by tapping "Filter" on the top right of the home page.

  • Can I reset my matching preferences? You can reset your matching preferences by selecting "Reset" in the filter menu.

  • What do the Boo matching buttons or icons represent? Our match page features five icons:

    • Yellow lightning bolt: Activates power-ups to unlock unique abilities like revival, boost, lift-off, and time travel.
    • Orange cross: Allows you to pass or skip profiles.
    • Pink heart: Represents "super love", a heightened level of interest. When you send "super love" to a profile, your request is pinned to the top of the soul’s request inbox and does not expire.
    • Blue heart: Use this to show interest in other profiles.
    • Blue paper airplane: This lets you send a direct message to the profile of your interest.
  • How can I tell if I have common interests with the person you recommended? Each person’s interests show up as bubbles in the interests section, both on the match page and on their profile. The interests displayed as blue bubbles are the ones you and the other person have in common. The remaining bubbles represent the other person’s interests that you don’t share.

  • Can I rematch with someone I accidentally unmatched? You can search for the user using their Boo ID in the search bar to reconnect with them.

  • Can I reset my likes? Yes, you can reset your likes by activating the "Power-up" feature, accessible by clicking the lightning bolt icon on the matching page. This feature includes options such as "Time Travel", which enables you to rewind time to the last soul you passed, and "Revival", which brings back all past recommendations.

  • How can I see who liked my profile? Navigate to “Request”, then tap “Received”.

  • Where did my received likes go? When someone sends you a like from the match page, you’ve got three days to respond. If you connect within that time frame, you can chat and send unlimited messages to that person. If you miss the three-day window, the like will expire. However, you can still reactivate the connection if you wish.

  • How do 'Boost' and 'Lift Off' work? These are power-ups that increase your profile visibility in recommendations. 'Boost' works for an hour, while 'Lift Off' enhances your profile visibility for 24 hours. You can access them through the lightning bolt button on the Match page.

  • Why am I not receiving any likes or messages? If your location is set to the spirit realm, your profile will not appear on the recommendation pages of other souls.

  • How can I increase the number of matches and messages I receive? In our experience, quality is important when it comes to your profile. Use high-quality photos and express yourself in your bio. The more you show of your personality, the greater the chance that you will meet your compatible match. Engaging with the community in the social feed is another way to demonstrate your personality and get noticed by people with similar interests to you. Profile verification also helps build trust, so your potential matches know you really are who you say you are.

  • How can I see who viewed my profile? If you have a premium subscription, you can go to your profile and tap "Views". Note, views only relate to people who have opened your profile to learn more about you, not all the people who saw you in their recommendations.

Boo Verification

  • Why can't I chat without verifying my account? Our verification process is a necessary safety measure to protect our community from fake accounts and scams. This change is all about ensuring our community is as secure and genuine as possible, creating a safer space for you to form meaningful connections.

  • How can I verify my account? To verify your account, first ensure that the first profile picture on your account is a clear photograph of your face. Then, go to your profile, tap the Edit section, and select “Verification”. If your first photograph is not a picture of your face, or if your face is not recognizable from the photograph, then the verification will be rejected.

  • How does the nose challenge verification work? When you start the nose challenge, two blue dots will appear on the screen – one which hovers on your nose, and one fixed near the middle of the screen. Adjust the position of your face to match the dots. Another fixed blue dot will then appear to the side. Turn your head to match the dots again.

  • Why does my verification request always fail? For our verification to work, the system needs to be able to see your face clearly during the verification procedure, and compare this to your face on your first profile photo. Common reasons for the nose challenge failing include low light levels so your facial features are not visible, or not having a clear facial photo as your first profile picture on your account. For best results, ensure you have a clear and recognizable photo of your face as your first profile picture, and carry out the verification process in a well-lit environment.

  • What is manual verification? If automatic verification fails, you can opt for manual verification, during which our team will manually review and verify your account. If you have any problem accessing this feature, please contact us through the Feedback option in “Settings” or by emailing us at hello@boo.world. Please include your Boo ID in your email so we can promptly start the process.

  • Can I verify my account through the web? You can verify your account on the web by navigating to the Edit Profile section and selecting “Verification”. Ensure the first profile photo on your account is a clear photograph of your face before you begin.

  • Why is my account being re-verified? Profile modifications, such as adding, changing, or removing the first profile picture, can trigger automatic re-verification as a security measure against fraudulent activities. To avoid re-verification issues, please ensure your first profile picture is always a clear and identifiable photo of your face. This helps us recognize you as the genuine account holder.

  • How can I tell if an account is verified? Verified accounts have a checkmark icon next to the username on their profile page.

Messaging on Boo

  • Can I change my message theme? Yes. Navigate to settings and select “Message Theme”.

  • Can I edit my sent messages? At this time, we do not offer the option to edit sent messages. We are, however, working on improving this feature.

  • What is the Boo Bot? The Boo Bot is a feature designed to flag inappropriate content in messages before they are sent. You can still send the message if you want to. You can activate the Boo Bot by going to Settings, selecting Messages, and turning the Warnings option on.

  • Can Boo help translate messages between two users? Yes, simply long-press on the message you would like to translate, and select "Translate" from the pop-up menu.

  • Can I delete messages? You can delete your chat with any other user by either unmatching or blocking the other user. The entire chat will disappear for both of you.

  • Can I delete multiple messages at once? We currently don't have this option, but improvements are in progress.

  • Why do messages sometimes disappear? A chat may disappear if the other user unmatched you, deleted their account, or was banned from the platform.

  • Will my messages be deleted if I delete and reinstall the app? No, messages will remain in your account unless the corresponding user is unmatched or banned.

  • Can I send a second direct message to a user who did not accept my request? Yes, a second direct message will be sent.

  • Can I pin important chats? Yes, you can pin a chat by swiping it to the left and selecting “Pin”.

  • Can I hide inactive chats? You can hide a chat by swiping it to the left and selecting “Hide”.

  • Where can I find hidden messages? You can view hidden messages by clicking “View all” on the messages page, or by locating the user in your followers’ list. When you send a new message in the chat, it will automatically move back to your active chats list.

  • Do you offer a group chat feature? Yes, to start a group chat, navigate to your inbox, tap the plus icon on the top right corner, and add the friends you wish to chat with.

  • Will a user be notified if I remove them from a group chat? No, the group chat will simply be removed from their chat list.

  • Where can I see messages I've sent? Navigate to “Request” and tap “Sent”.

  • How can I see when a user was last active? You can use the X-ray Vision feature to see a user's activity for the past 7 days. This power-up is available by tapping the lightning bolt icon in the top banner of the chat.

  • Will a user be notified if I use X-ray Vision? No, users are not notified when you use the X-ray Vision feature.

  • How can I tell if someone left me on read? You can activate read receipts as part of a premium subscription.

  • How can I block a user? You can block a user from your chat with them, from their profile page, or from any post or comment they make in the social feed. Click the three-dot icon in the top right, select “Block soul” and follow the onscreen instructions. Please note that this is permanent and cannot be undone.

  • Can I report a user for inappropriate behavior or content? Yes, to report a user, tap the three dots in the top right corner of the chat, post, or profile, and select “Report soul”. Follow the onscreen instructions to submit your report. Our support team will review your submission.

  • Can I unblock someone? At this time, we do not have the option to unblock users, but we are working on this feature.

Boo AI

  • What is Boo AI? Boo AI is an advanced artificial intelligence feature designed to enhance your messaging experience on the Boo platform. It assists in creating draft messages for one-to-one chats and participating in Boo universes. By tapping the circle near the "send" button, you can access various functionalities like paraphrasing, proofreading, and generating creative suggestions for engaging in conversations. You can also access the Boo AI settings, where you can set your own custom tone (such as flirty or funny – you can even tell it to talk like Yoda!), and choose the language you want it to write in.

  • What are neurons? Neurons are the virtual currency that powers Boo AI. They are used to perform different actions within the app, such as suggesting comments, creating icebreakers, and analyzing chat content. Each action consumes a certain number of neurons.

  • How can I purchase neurons? Neurons can be purchased directly within the Boo app. Open Boo AI and select “Purchase Neurons”. You can choose from different packages based on your needs and complete the purchase using the available payment methods.

  • How does Boo AI assist when I’m chatting with my match? In messages, Boo AI can offer various suggestions like icebreakers tailored to your match's interests, pickup lines, jokes, and compliments. It also provides guidance on how to continue the conversation effectively and offers an analysis of the chat's intent, sentiment, and your compatibility with the other person.

  • How does Boo AI work in the universes? Boo AI can help by paraphrasing or proofreading your comments when you’re interacting with other souls in the universe. You can also ask it to suggest comments, ensuring your social interactions are engaging and grammatically sound.

Coins, Love, and Crystals

  • What can I use coins for? Coins can be used to unlock power-ups, reward posts and comments, and send direct messages as a free user.

  • How can I purchase coins? Navigate to “My Coins” and select “Get Coins”.

  • What are coin quests? You can earn coins by completing quests, such as logging into the app, completing sections of your profile, and posting on the social feed. You can see the full list of quests in the “My Coins” section.

  • Can I give my coins to another user? You can award coins to users by clicking the star icon on their posts or comments. Select the award you would like to give, and the corresponding number of coins will be transferred from your balance to the other user.

  • What is the function of the heart icon? The heart icon, or ‘love’ count, represents the total reactions you've received from other users. More hearts equate to more opportunities to earn coins.

  • How can I earn ‘love’ on Boo? ‘Love’ can be gained by engaging in the Boo community. This can be done through posting, commenting on the social feed, and completing tasks in the "My Coins" section.

  • What is the role of crystals? Earning more 'love' or hearts through engaging posts or comments allows your profile to level up a crystal. Each level offers a coin reward and increases your daily recommendations. You can learn more about crystals and levels by clicking the “Love” or “Level” buttons on your profile or those of other souls.

The Boo Universe

  • How do I find things that interest me in the Boo Universe? You can apply filters to your social feed. Tap Universe to access the social feed, then tap on the filters next to “Interest Search”. Select or deselect the topics that interest you.

  • What is the difference between the “For You” and “Explore” tabs in the Universe section? "For You" is tailored to your filter preferences, while "Explore" contains posts from the entire community.

  • How can I disable auto-play for videos? To disable auto-play, go to Settings, click “Social Feed”, and toggle off “Autoplay Videos”.

  • Can I translate languages I don't understand? Yes, you can translate posts in languages you don't understand by long pressing on the post and then tapping "Translate" at the bottom.

  • Can I view posts from users who speak my language? Yes, you can filter posts by language. You do this by changing dimensions, by clicking on the planet icon beside the notification bell.

  • How do I award a user? To award a user, tap the star icon on their post or comment, and choose the award you would like to send. The corresponding coin amount will be deducted from your balance, and transferred to the user you give the reward to. Only the recipient can see who sent their awards, but you can also choose to stay anonymous by checking the “Send anonymously” box.

  • How do I follow someone on Boo? You can follow a soul by clicking the “Follow” button on their profile. This user’s posts will then appear in your Following tab in the Universe.

  • Where can I find my posts/comments? You can find your posts and comments on your profile page.

  • Can I post a video? Yes, videos (up to 5 minutes) can be added by clicking the “Create” button at the bottom of the app.

  • How can I create a story? To create a story, tap “Universes” in the menu at the bottom of the screen to go to the social feed, and click “Your story” at the top left.

  • How do I post in two dimensions? Posting in two dimensions means creating posts in two different languages. Do this by clicking the planet icon beside the notification bell, and choosing another language you would like to post in. You can then explore this dimension of the universe and post in the second language.

  • How many posts can I make each day? We currently limit the number of posts a user can make to 10 per day. The cool-down period between each post should be indicated in the app. This is to prevent any single user from dominating the feed, so everyone gets a chance to share their thoughts and experiences.

  • How can I see who gave me an award? To see who awarded you, click on the award. Some users may choose to award anonymously.

  • Can I hide my comments and posts? Yes. Go to Settings, tap “Privacy”, and choose to hide your comments and posts on your profile.

  • How can I post to the #questions tag? The #questions tag is reserved for the Question of the Day. For other queries, please use the tags provided under questions.

  • How can I hide or block posts from a specific user? To hide posts from a user, click the three-dot icon at the top right of their post or comment, and click “Hide posts and comments from this soul”. To block them entirely, click “Block soul”. Please note that blocking is permanent and cannot be undone.

  • How can I report inappropriate content on my social feed? To report a post, click on the 3-dot icon located on the right corner of the post and select "Report post".

  • Why is there a mismatch between the number of comments noted on a post, and the actual number of comments I can see? Sometimes, you might see a mismatch in the comment counts because comments from users who've been banned are hidden.

Boo Infinity Subscriptions

  • What is Boo Infinity? Boo Infinity is a premium subscription designed to expedite your journey to finding meaningful connections.

  • What features does the Boo Infinity subscription plan include? Boo Infinity subscriptions offer unrestricted access to all Boo app features, along with exclusive features such as Unlimited Recommendations, Time Travel, Unlimited Direct Messages, Dating Telepathy, and Interplanetary Mode.

  • How do I subscribe to Boo Infinity? Go to your profile page within the app, and tap the three-bar icon located at the top of the page. From the drop-down menu, select 'Account', and you should then see an option for 'Manage Subscription'. Tap on it to view the different subscription options available.

  • How much do Boo Infinity subscriptions cost? The pricing for Boo subscriptions can be found in the relevant section of your profile. Prices may vary based on your location.

  • How can I cancel my Boo subscription? While we are unable to directly handle subscription cancellations or issue refunds, you can easily manage this through your respective App Store or Google Play settings. All payments, refunds, and subscriptions are processed through these platforms.

  • What should I do if my purchased subscription isn't appearing in the app? If your purchased subscription doesn't reflect in the app, please contact us at hello@boo.world or reach out through Boo chat support via the “Send Feedback” option in Settings. Provide us with your email address linked to your App Store or Google Play account, along with the Order ID. We are more than happy to assist you.

  • Where can I locate my Order ID? Your Order ID is located in the purchase confirmation email you received from App Store or Google Play. Typically, it starts with 'GPA' for Google Play orders.

  • What should I do if I get the error “Products cannot be loaded at this time; please try again later”? If you encounter any loading issues, we recommend subscribing via our web version at boo.world.

  • When is the next subscription promotion? Our pricing structure occasionally includes promotional discounts. We recommend staying tuned for potential savings on your subscription.

Troubleshooting

  • I haven’t received the email to verify my email address. Please ensure to check your spam folder for our confirmation email. If you still can't find the email, reach out to us at hello@boo.world, and we'll gladly resend it.

  • When I try to sign in, the email link opens in my browser instead of in the app. If the links are defaulting to open in the browser instead of the Boo app, there are two possible ways around it: a. First, instead of tapping the "Sign in to Boo" link to open it, try long-pressing it, and then selecting "Open in Boo". This should open the link in the app, so you are signed in. b. Alternatively, if that doesn't work, you can change the default setting by following these steps:

    • Go to your phone's Settings.
    • Navigate to Apps & Notifications.
    • Tap on the browser app that your phone uses by default.
    • Tap on Open by default.
    • Hit Clear defaults.
    • Then go back to your mail and open the Boo link again. Your phone should prompt you to select whether you'd like to open it in the browser or the Boo app. Choose the Boo app.
  • What should I do if I previously signed up for Boo using my phone number, and now can’t log in? We've recently updated our login process, so now you'll need an email address instead of a phone number. This change is all about making your account more secure and easy to manage. To make this shift as smooth as possible, please email us at hello@boo.world with your previous login details based on your phone number and the email address you would like to link to your account. Please note that if you have accidentally created a new account associated with your email address while trying to log in, you will need to initiate the deletion of the new account before we can access your old account via your email address.

  • What should I do if I’m experiencing other login issues? If you're unable to log in to your account, please verify your internet connection. If the issue persists, don't hesitate to contact us at hello@boo.world.

  • I referred a friend but I didn't receive my referral reward. For issues with referral rewards, please contact our in-app support. You can find it in Settings, under “Send Feedback”.

  • What is the effect of a temporary ban on an account? A temporary ban on an account restricts the user's ability to perform certain actions, such as sending messages, posting content, or leaving comments. These bans can arise as a result of our system automatically detecting content that goes against our community guidelines or as a result of users reporting offensive, inappropriate, or underage profiles or posts.

  • Why is my post somehow not visible on the feed? There are several potential reasons your post may not be visible on the feed, either for specific users or across the community:

    • Posts and comments that violate our community guidelines may be removed from the social feed.
    • If your account is banned, your posts and comments will no longer be visible in the feed. The most common reasons for accounts being banned include violation of the one-account-per-user policy, reports of the user being underage, and user-reported or system-detected inappropriate content.
    • If there are specific users who cannot see your post, it may be because of filters they have active on their feed. To deactivate these filters, the user should go to the social feed, tap the filters beside the interest search, and tap “Deactivate”.
    • Users who have blocked you or elected to hide your posts and comments will not be able to see your post in their feed.
  • Why does the number of followers on my follower list not match my number of followers? There may be a discrepancy if some users in your followers’ list have been temporarily banned from the platform following reports of breaching the community guidelines. However, since their accounts could be reinstated after review of the reports, we do not immediately remove them from your follower count.

  • Why is there a sudden increase in my following and followers? This could be due to your auto-follow settings. You can deactivate this feature by going to Settings, tapping Privacy, and then toggling off the Auto Follow settings.

  • I boosted my visibility but my views stayed the same. The views count on your profile relates to the number of people who have opened your profile to learn more about you. This is typically because you have sent them a like or they have noticed you in the social feeds of the Boo Universe. Users who see you in their recommendations do not get counted in these views, so the extra views you got from the match page while your visibility was boosted don't automatically add to the profile views figure.

  • What should I do if I encounter a bug or error not covered here? To report a bug, please send an email with your Boo ID, app version, and a screenshot or video of the issue to hello@boo.world.

Safety, Security, & Privacy

  • How can I report another user? To report a user, click the three-dot icon on the top right of their profile, post, comment or chat, and select “Report soul”. Choose the relevant reason, and provide additional comments if necessary. We aim to review your report as soon as possible.

  • What if I suspect someone is impersonating me? If you suspect impersonation, please do the following:

    • Take a screenshot of the profile, and make a note of the user’s Boo ID
    • Click on the three-dot icon and select “Report soul”. Follow the on-screen instructions.
    • Email us at hello@boo.world with the screenshots, the user’s Boo ID, and a description of the issue.
  • Why do you need my location information? Your location helps us recommend souls in your vicinity, fostering local connections.

  • How can I hide my account or take a break from Boo? You can make your profile invisible by activating the "Pause Account" option in Account Settings.

Account Deletion

  • How do I delete my account? You can permanently delete your account by visiting Settings and selecting the “Account” menu. Due to the large number of reactivation requests we receive, the complete deletion of your account and profile will take place after 30 days. If you log back in within these 30 days, the account deletion will be canceled.   • What does "Pause Account" do? When you pause your account, your profile will no longer appear on the recommendations page, meaning new users will not be able to send you messages or likes.

  • How can I delete my account without receiving any notifications and ensure no one can view my profile? To fully delete your account and prevent any notifications or visibility, first turn off all notifications in your notification settings and pause your account in the account settings. Your profile will not be visible to anyone, and if you do not log into your account again, it will be completely deleted 30 days later. You will receive an email notification shortly before the final permanent deletion of your account is performed. If you wish to have your account deleted immediately, please initiate deletion through the app, and then email hello@boo.world with your Boo ID and the associated email address. Please note that this step is permanent, and it will not be possible to recover any of your account information, chats, or matches afterward.

  • Can I delete my account and create a new one with the same email address? Yes, you can, but you will need to wait 30 days for your old account to be completely deleted. If you log in before the 30-day period is over, the deletion process will be canceled, and you will retrieve your old account.

  • How can I cancel my subscription? Subscriptions purchased through the app are handled by the App Store or Google Play Store, for iOS and Android devices, respectively. You can cancel your subscription through the settings in the App Store or Google Play Store. If you purchased a subscription on the web using Stripe, please contact us via the “Send Feedback” option in Settings on the app, or via email at hello@boo.world.
