I was just called stupid and told my English was awful suck by a man from Scotland. I know my English isn’t perfect, but hearing that still really hurt.

When I had a lot of free time in university, I tried learning Japanese and Spanish. Unfortunately, I lacked the discipline and consistency to stick with them, so I never became fluent. Maybe one day I’ll finally pick them up again—or you can teach me a few words in your language.
