North Sumatra Provincial State Museum was inaugurated on April 19, 1982 by the Minister of Education and Culture, Dr. Daoed Joesoef. This museum also known as Gedung Arca Museum. Initially, the North Sumatra Provincial State Museum was managed individually directly by the Ministry of Education and Culture. Until then the regional autonomy occurred and resulted the authority to manage the museum granted to North Sumatra Provincial Government. Until now, this museum have about 7000 collections in total.

📍National Museum of Natural History It was my first time here with my sisters and we had so much fun looking at the exhibits. This is our first museum (out of 3) on our DIY Manila tour. It was a very interestring trip looking at what nature has to offer. From small insects to huge skeletal artifacts, from stones and leaves…there are so many things to see and learn!
