I just got back from seeing "very still and hard to see" performed at my local Community College. The performance was chilling! I haven't felt spooks like this in so long! AND they put a salt ring around the stage! No real spirit/ghost possessions for that troop!

OmG the Show was SO Good!

I want the shen yun last night for the first time, and kind of not knowing what it was going in, i enjoyed it. Though I wish I would have got there like ten minutes earlier.So I could have had more time to look around the lobby and possibly pick up like a souvenir or something. But it was good. The music was great and the performance was breathtaking.

Went to Shen Yun for the first time.

Some might say I lost, but you should see the 2x6. Got blood all over it.

Hopefully this turns into a badass scar.

I miss theatre till this day. Crave to get up on the stage, but priority sorting makes this a wish for never to be fulfilled.

Nostalgia for 2022

Anyone like a good musical? The most recent i saw was Cabaret with Orville Peck as the MC, that man is handsome without his mask gimmick, not to mention where I sat, he really was making some serious eye contact with me, maybe I was imagining it, put pretty sure that man looked right where I sat and did not lose focus.  Another good musical is Hadestown,  I saw that 3 times in the past 3 years. Once in broadway, two others a tour

Musical Theater appreciation

I don’t go to the theatre much but I went to watch Cirque du Soleil in las Vegas and I enjoyed it but I just wish that was more a storyline to it instead of just watching a lot of flipping still very impressive, though

Today was the first time I went to a show produced by the theatre group I started and ran for seven years since I walked away from them last October.

Oddly unemotional, but kind of confirmed that I made the right choice. They're doing well, producing the sort of facile, shallow, crowd-pleasing plays that I'd go crazy from boredom directing myself. A bit awkward meeting my old colleagues after the show--them asking me what I thought, and me admitting that it was fine, but just not my sort of thing.

I wish them well, but the itch is still there. I just have to find a venue and audience that will vibe with the kind of productions that I enjoy directing...

Solo musical theatre adventure

I thought about any actor who would play Dionysus, and I immediately thought about Adam Sandler. So, I suggested it to the director, picked out pieces that made me look like a grumpy, overworked camp counselor, and came up with this. Even after a few months later, I still think Mr. D was probably my best role ever.

I just know the songs will live in my head rentfree for quite some time; they captured the spirit of the book so well. The set design was also on point ⚡️ 🌊
