Young made his acting debut in 1956 with the film 'Dino,' in which he played a small role. He continued to work on several television shows, including 'The Untouchables,' 'The Twilight Zone,' and 'Perry Mason.' Young became a familiar face in Hollywood and appeared in many popular films, including 'Jaws,' 'Blade Runner,' and 'Saving Private Ryan.'

Young was also an accomplished voice actor and provided his voice for several animated shows and movies. He voiced Doc Hudson in the animated feature film 'Cars' in 2006. Young's most notable voice work was for the 'Star Wars' franchise. He provided the voice for the character Amanaman in the game 'Star Wars: Episode VI- Return of the Jedi.'
