He was born on March 9, 1944, in San Diego, California and grew up in the small town of Saugus, California. After his successful college career, Don Horn was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the first round of the 1967 NFL Draft. He joined the esteemed team led by legendary coach Vince Lombardi and got the opportunity to learn and play alongside Hall of Famer, Bart Starr. Despite limited playing time as Starr's backup, Horn made a notable impact in the games he played, displaying his strong arm and talent for leading the offense.
