Kevin Baez is an American former professional baseball player and current coach. He was born on January 10, 1967, in Brooklyn, New York. Baez is best known for his time in the Major League Baseball (MLB) where he played as a shortstop for the New York Mets from 1990 to 1993.
Baez attended Gregorio Luperon High School for Math & Science in the Bronx, where he showcased exceptional talent and passion for baseball. It wasn't long before he caught the attention of the MLB scouts, leading to his selection by the New York Mets in the seventh round of the 1988 MLB Draft.
During his four-year stint with the Mets, Baez made significant contributions to the team's performance.
