Throughout his time in the NHL, he played as a defenseman for the New Jersey Devils and Minnesota Wild, becoming a fan favorite for his tenacity and defensive skills on the ice.
Bombardir's professional career began in 1994, when he was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the third round of the NHL Entry Draft. After honing his skills in the minor leagues, he made his NHL debut during the 1997-1998 season with the Devils. Known for his solid defensive play, Bombardir quickly became a reliable presence on the team's blue line.
During his tenure with the Devils, Bombardir had the opportunity to play alongside esteemed players such as Martin Brodeur and Scott Stevens.
