Advices? Portuguese is different language from Spanish. Humm well try to learn a few words will help you, like "bom-dia" (good morning), obrigado (thank you), adeus (goodbye). Try eating local food, not asking french fries with everything (we have a lot of dishes in which include rice, pasta, patotoes veggies with meat, eggs and fish). Humm I think a while a go people made fun of a couple who went to one of best place to eat a francesinha (which has a lot of diferent meat related ingredients inside two slices of bread, with sauce on it and fried egg on top of it) at Santiago Café in Porto. So basically man ate francesinha with his hands (which we eat with silverware) and woman ate a bifana (which is probably best sandwich you will ever eat. It's meat inside a bread. Some people put a bit of mustard) with a silverware (which we eat with our hands) Although we are welcomed and try to help out, some places don't speak English, specially more elderly people. I don't know if you could need any more tips. 🤔 (redigeeritud)
