Where would you rate Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore? Feel free to express your thoughts and opinions in the comments. For me:⭐️⭐️⭐️. To be clear I do think it’s a good film and, perhaps, an underrated Martin Scorsese film, but I think it’s not for me. I’ve seen this a few times before but every time I remember being pretty bored by it. It’s acted well though and Ellen Burnstyn does a great job in her performance as well as a great relationship with her son (not actual son). As for Kris Kristofferson is fine. He doesn’t quite enter the film till after an hour in and as likable as his character is, it’s a tad predictable where his character goes from here. As for story it just didn’t really grab my attention. Sometimes I like slice of life type stories, but perhaps it’s story and rom comedy from early 70s doesn’t do it for me. Note: this also stars a young Jodie Foster from films like Contact and Panic Room. I didn’t even recognize her at first because she looked more like a boy. Still does a good job in this film despite the role being short
