Moriarty the patriot: could it be even more boring?

I wonder why the villain Moriarty is so boring, the only anime where the evil side is just the guy with never changing face expressions same to his brothers, he is just always perfect, always same tone of voice, it doesn’t feel like he enjoys doing the evil, he seems robotic. The only one who saves the anime is Sherlock, he is interesting to watch, he has flaws, he is funny and cute, if not him I would definitely stop watching. This is that case where bad guys are boring and good guys are interesting and cool.
