J. K. Rithesh was an Indian film actor and politician, known for his work in the Tamil film industry. He was born on April 5, 1972, in Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu, India. Rithesh was the son of well-known Tamil actor and politician, R. J. K. Raghava, meaning that he came from a family with a strong legacy in the entertainment and political spheres. Rithesh made his acting debut in the Tamil film industry in 1995 with the film "Pudhu Vasantham." From then on, he appeared in numerous successful films including "Kaadhal Kirukkan," "Vanchinathan," and "Jolly Pandi." His performances were appreciated by both critics and audiences, which helped him gain a large fan base in Tamil Nadu. Apart from his flourishing acting career, Rithesh was also actively involved in politics. He joined the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), a political party in Tamil Nadu, and became a member of the AIADMK's youth wing. He contested the Lok Sabha elections in 2009 and won from the Ramanathapuram constituency. During his tenure, he actively campaigned for the welfare of his constituents and worked towards the development of his constituency. Tragically, J. K. Rithesh's life was cut short when he passed away on April 13, 2019, at the age of 47. His sudden demise left a void in the Tamil film industry and the political world.
