MBTI vs Socionics

I myself have researched both systems extensively, but I am not sure what meaning of each cognitive function I should use when introducing typlogy to a new person. Can someone differentiate the functions between their meaning with MBTI and Socionics? For example so that someone can understand my request: Se (Extraverted Sensing) MBTI defines this as enjoying and being present, being adaptable, and being opportunistic. Socionics defines this as being able to make change happen, holding assertive force, and controlling the environment. But perhaps I am misguided and do not really understand Se as I have Se blindspot/trickster.
