Analyzing Archetypes

I find that the type listed on many people's profile is incredibly unlikely for them. I've been studying Myers-Briggs and cognitive functions for nine years, and neuropsychology for four years. The amount of crossover between personality, genetics, microbiome, and childhood trauma which can all be correlated is fascinating. It gets to the point where you can observe a few things about somebody's body language and have uncanny insights into who they are within a short time from first meeting someone, especially if you have come to know their archetype before specifically. Do you even believe in Myers-Briggs or are you on Boo for other reasons? For, MBTI geeks like me, how much do you agree with the assessments and analysis done by Boo? What do you feel that they do particularly right versus particularly wrong? And, what is your favorite book in the wide area of personality typology to neuropsychology? How confident are you that you have the correct type listed on your profile?

99-100% confident

90%-98% confident

75-89% confident

Seems plausible, but I'm unsure

Seems unlikely to be correct

If there are some inaccuracies in the results, it's probably due to a miscommunication problem by the test itself and the individual interpretation of the test taker when reading the questions. You got to understand that people will very much just read through questions most often than not and quickly answer rather than actually analyze the question, identify key words and syntax, and then properly asses an appropriate response that is as close to an honest answer for oneself. Ya know?

I didnā€™t take the Boo personality test, I selected the result based on the description and the understanding of myself. Iā€™m sure there was conflict with my decision because Iā€™m not entirely a huge fan of the personality tests. Not to say that they are not accurate but as you suggested, there can a multiplicity of confounding variables that donā€™t necessary relate to oneā€™s personality but more along with oneā€™s experiences, impressions and even something as mutable as someoneā€™s mood. I did select the middle option of 75-89%. I rather err on the side of the 11% over the 10 if my selection was not entirely true. However; I do find some value in it because I did recently take a personality test after making my profile and got the same result that I selected for the profile here. I tend to select more ā€œmiddle rangeā€ answers than the extremes but I also like to avoid the neutral answer. Both neutral and extremes are reserved for things I truly feel or donā€™t feel anything in regards to. Hope you may find something within this that you can deem valuable to your inquiry and I didnā€™t just waste your time with a bunch of hubbub šŸ˜

I think some people answer the questions of the test incorrectly and therefore it is not accurate. There should also be exceptions to types.

Not gonna lie, after so many personality tests and questionnaires, the results didn't quite come as a shock, but what did was the eerie quality of how in depth these assessments went even down to the neurological(?) pathway priority list thing and how I couldn't even be mad because it was true.... In fact I was amazed that a freaking test could reveal so much about me, things I kinda already knew but definitely didn't have an explicit way of stating. Ngl I felt attacked šŸ˜‚
