Trude von Molo was an Austrian actress who rose to fame during the 1920s and 30s. Born on September 30, 1898, in Vienna, Austria, Trude began her acting career in the 1920s under the tutelage of Max Reinhardt, one of Austria's leading theater directors. She made her debut on the stage in 1921 and quickly became known for her powerful performances and captivating screen presence. Throughout her career, Trude appeared in numerous stage productions, films, and television shows. Some of her most notable film credits include "Two Hearts in Waltz Time" (1930), "Goodby, Franziska" (1941), and "The Living Idol" (1957). She was also a regular presence on Austrian television, starring in a variety of drama and comedy series throughout the 1950s and 60s. Despite her impressive acting career, Trude's personal life was marked by tragedy. She was forced to flee Austria during World War II due to her Jewish heritage and spent much of her later years living in exile. Despite these challenges, she remained an accomplished and beloved actress until her death on December 31, 1989, in Lugano, Switzerland. Today, she is remembered as one of Austria's most talented and beloved performers, and her legacy continues to inspire new generations of artists and creatives.
