Born on August 28, 1981, in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Sorrentine made a name for himself on the college basketball scene during his tenure at the University of Vermont. Sorrentine joined the Vermont Catamounts basketball team in 2000 and quickly gained recognition for his exceptional shooting skills. Standing at just 5 feet 11 inches tall, Sorrentine defied expectations with his ability to consistently score from long range. His most notable moment came during the first round of the 2005 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, when he sank an incredible half-court shot to secure a historic victory for Vermont over Syracuse University. Following his college career, Sorrentine went on to play professional basketball in several leagues around the world.
