Boris Zhukov, born James Kirk Harrell, is a former professional wrestler and manager from the United States. He is best known for his time in the wrestling promotion, World Wrestling Federation (WWF), during the 1980s. Boris Zhukov's career spanned over two decades and showcased his exceptional wrestling skills and charismatic personality. Born on August 27, 1959, in Roanoke, Virginia, Zhukov discovered his passion for wrestling at a young age. He started his professional wrestling career in the late 1970s, initially adopting the ring name Jim Harrell. As Harrell, he wrestled in various regional promotions across the United States, refining his skills and gaining valuable experience. In 1984, Harrell transitioned into the character of Boris Zhukov, a Russian heel wrestler, inspired by the political tensions of the Cold War era. His persona embraced the anti-American sentiment, portraying a Soviet sympathizer and often teaming up with other wrestlers from foreign countries. This heel character allowed Zhukov to generate immense heat from the crowd and establish himself as a memorable antagonist. Throughout his career, Boris Zhukov competed against some of the biggest names in professional wrestling, such as Hulk Hogan, Sgt. Slaughter, and The Ultimate Warrior. In 1987, he joined the WWF and became a member of the tag team called The Bolsheviks, along with Nikolai Volkoff.
