I’m always so thrilled when I unexpectedly get permission to explore new areas. While I’m usually foraging for mushrooms, tracking signs of wildlife, photographing native plants, and generally just enjoying the lack of humanity- I frequently find abandoned structures. I make sure to ask the landowner about them before I go. This one used to be rented out to friends of the family but has been abandoned for many years now, possibly decades. I did poke around a bit to try to see if I could get in, but the front door was boarded up and nailed closed from the outside, and the windowsill I could have gone in at showed me the floor was rotted through. #explore #photography #adventure #horror
