Zafir Hadžimanov is a highly acclaimed Serbian pianist, keyboardist and composer who has achieved significant recognition for his unique approach to music. Born in Belgrade, Serbia, in 1968, he was awarded a silver medal for piano performance at the age of 14, and then went on to study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Over the years, Hadžimanov has developed a musical style that reflects his diverse cultural heritage, incorporating elements of jazz, rock, classical, and Balkan folk music.
Hadžimanov began his musical career in the early 1990s, performing with various bands in the Belgrade club scene. In 1996, he formed his own band, simply called the Zafir Hadžimanov Group, which quickly gained a reputation as one of the most innovative and groundbreaking acts in Serbian music.
