Wondering

Seriously, what's so special about anime? Don't say "story" or "plot", because that's my specialty and I assure you it's so ordinary and sometimes disgusting; I've seen some and I'm not that impressed, but I've seen the things that creators are basing on in their developments. the way I see it, it could be related somehow to something in our subconscious, something needing to be fulfilled maybe? Not sure, that's why I wanna hear from the fans. P.S: - I don't hate anime or anime fans, everyone is free. - This is just a discussion topic, not an attack or an insults showdown.

Watch Gunslinger Girls, Area 88, and Najica Blitz Tactics. They are three anime series’s that left me thinking at the end of each episode. It was like reading Dean Koontz Frankenstein books where the chapters let you with cliffhangers. You simply had to know more.

Super curious about this as well - Everyone loves it and for me it's like soap operas; they're fine, just not really interested in them.

Every story that will be told has been told. Most of the time it's to escape reality, which is what most people want. It's just another escapism.

Anime were introduced around the time when I was a small kid. Some of them are still my favourites because they are just good and family friendly while some of them are pervert which never been my favourites. I love the colour palette, the details of the drawing, leaning toward nature (peaceful vibe), their OSTs, witty, cute, homey, and down to earth. These are my favourites from my childhood: Doraemon, Pokemon, Maruko Chan, and Fruit Basket. I don't follow up any new anime tho, I only watch my childhood favourites just to reminiscing my good old memories.
