Rate the Film: 2002’s 28 Days Later

Where would you rate 28 Days Later? Feel free to express your thoughts and opinions in the comments. For me:⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 maybe ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. The film is said to revitalized the zombie genre by making it not quite zombies, but instead a Rage virus. Still I remember from first watch it felt similar to other zombie films in terms of story and formula. After rewatch I appreciate it more for its cinematography and atmosphere feeling more gritty than other versions I’ve seen. In addition the performances are good and I like references like in the beginning of London being empty reminiscent to Omega Man or I Am Legend. While not necessarily scary and I think it could’ve been illustrated better in regards to beginning of the outbreak being caused by animal rights activists that refused to listen, it’s still a good zombie/infected film.
