Donald Burton was an English actor known for his extensive work in television and film in the United Kingdom. Born on February 10, 1934, in Norwich, England, he attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London. After finishing his studies, he made his debut appearance in the West End production of "The Lark" at the Lyric Hammersmith in London.
Throughout his career, Burton appeared in numerous television series, including "The Avengers," "The Saint," and "Callan." He also had a recurring role in the popular science fiction series "Doctor Who," playing the character of Glyn Jones. On the big screen, he acted in movies such as "If....," a British drama film directed by Lindsay Anderson, and "The Omen," a horror movie directed by Richard Donner.
In addition to his acting career, Burton was also a voiceover artist and a narrator. He lent his voice to several documentaries, including "The World at War," a television series documenting the Second World War. His voice was also heard in commercials and as a narrator for audio books. Burton was also involved in theater productions, both in London's West End and in regional theaters across the United Kingdom.
Donald Burton passed away on December 8, 2007, at the age of 73.
