Together with her husband and filmmaking partner, Robert Dinesen, Alice O'Fredericks founded the production company Nordisk Film in 1927. Nordisk Film became the largest film production company in Scandinavia, and O'Fredericks and Dinesen were responsible for many critically acclaimed films that helped establish the Danish film industry.
O'Fredericks was groundbreaking in her approach to filmmaking, particularly in terms of her attitude toward gender roles.
