In 1955, Scott was chosen to portray the iconic character of Tarzan in the film Tarzan's Hidden Jungle. He went on to play the jungle hero in a total of six films, becoming one of the most recognizable and beloved Tarzan actors of all time. Scott's imposing presence and athletic ability made him a natural fit for the role, and he brought a unique intensity and pathos to the character. Despite his success as Tarzan, Scott continued to pursue other roles throughout his career, appearing in films such as The Colossus of Rhodes, Samson and the Seven Miracles of the World, and The Tramplers. He also made numerous guest appearances on television shows like The Virginian and Batman. Outside of his acting career, Scott was known for his impressive physique and dedication to bodybuilding. In the late 1940s, he won the Mr. Oregon bodybuilding title, and he later competed in the Mr. America and Mr. Universe contests.
