Kondrat initially studied law at Jagiellonian University but dropped out to pursue his passion for acting. He started his acting career in 1973 and has since become a prominent figure in the Polish film industry. Kondrat gained widespread recognition for his role in the 1981 film “Człowiek z żelaza” (Man of Iron), which won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival that same year. From then on, he appeared in numerous Polish films, television series, and theatrical productions, where he showcased his versatility and remarkable acting skills. Throughout his career, Kondrat has worked with some of the most prominent Polish directors and actors, some of whom are Andrzej Wajda, Jerzy Hoffman, and Krystyna Janda. Aside from acting, Kondrat is also a skilled director and producer. He produced and directed his first film “Curriculum vitae” in 1992. The film was presented at the Berlin International Film Festival and went on to win several awards. Since then, Kondrat has directed and produced various films, including “Sicarius” (2001) and “Jutro będzie niebo” (2002). In addition to his acting and filmmaking career, Kondrat also serves as an activist and philanthropist. He is involved in various charitable organizations that aim to help children and cancer patients.
