Born on May 4, 1926, in Washington, D.C., White was initially drawn to acting while studying at the University of North Carolina. It didn't take long for her to realize that she had natural talent, and soon she began auditioning for roles in local theatre productions. She made her professional acting debut in 1950 and immediately garnered attention for her stage presence. White soon transitioned from the stage to the small screen, and her breakthrough role came in the form of Janet Tyler in the iconic science fiction series, "The Twilight Zone." This episode, titled, "Eye of the Beholder," is now considered one of the greatest episodes in the series' history, and White's performance in it was widely praised. She went on to appear in several popular television shows over the next decade, including "The Adventures of Superman," "Perry Mason," "Alfred Hitchcock Presents," and "Bonanza." In addition to her television work, Christine White also acted in several films throughout her career.
