"I didn't lose the game for us. I'm a part of the reason we won this division, and I feel like I contributed. But as far as the ultimate winner today, it was San Diego."

Lin Elliott Bio
Lin Elliott is an American former professional football player who gained notoriety during his stint as a kicker in the National Football League (NFL). Born on June 28, 1969, in Houston, Texas, Elliott displayed his athletic prowess early on and established himself as a formidable player in both high school and college. After a successful college career at Texas Tech University, he entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 1992 and went on to play for multiple teams, most notably the Kansas City Chiefs and the Dallas Cowboys.
Throughout his football career, Lin Elliott is perhaps best known for a challenging period he endured during the 1995 NFL playoffs. As the kicker for the Kansas City Chiefs, he faced immense pressure and scrutiny when his performance largely contributed to the team's loss against the Indianapolis Colts in the divisional round. Elliott missed three field goals during the game, ultimately resulting in a critical 10-7 defeat for his team. His performance became a topic of relentless criticism and saw him being held partly responsible for the Chiefs' inability to progress further in the playoffs.
Following that unfortunate incident, Lin Elliott's career never fully recovered, and he was released by the Chiefs the following year. He later joined the Dallas Cowboys, appearing in a few games during the 1996 season before ultimately retiring from professional football. Despite the adversity he faced, Elliott's legacy and impact on the NFL remain significant. His struggles on that fateful day in 1995 serve as a reminder of the tremendous pressure that athletes face in high-stakes competitions, and how one performance can leave an indelible mark on their careers.
Outside of his football career, Lin Elliott has largely maintained a private life, keeping a low public profile. While he may not be widely recognized as a celebrity in the traditional sense, sports enthusiasts and NFL fans familiar with the game's history are likely to remember his name and the challenges he faced during his time in the league.
