Scott Atchison is an accomplished American former professional baseball player. Born on March 29, 1976, in Denton, Texas, he gained recognition for his exceptional skills as a relief pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB). Atchison's baseball journey began in his college years when he attended Texas Christian University (TCU) and played for the TCU Horned Frogs baseball team. His talent on the field quickly caught the attention of MLB scouts, and he was eventually drafted in the 49th round of the 1998 MLB Draft by the Seattle Mariners.

Following his drafting by the Mariners, Scott Atchison embarked on his professional baseball career, making his MLB debut in 2004 as a member of the Seattle Mariners. Over the course of his successful career, Atchison represented multiple MLB teams, including the Mariners, San Francisco Giants, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, and Cleveland Indians. His primary role was that of a relief pitcher, although he also occasionally worked as a starting pitcher.
