He attended Portage Central High School, where he excelled as a talented player, catching the attention of scouts.
After completing high school, Parse continued his hockey journey at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Displaying exceptional skills on the ice, he quickly became one of the university's standout players. Throughout his college career, Parse received numerous accolades, including being named to the All-WCHA Rookie Team in the 2004-2005 season.
In 2008, Scott Parse's dreams of playing professional hockey became a reality when he was selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the sixth round of the NHL Entry Draft. This marked a significant milestone in his career, as he officially joined the ranks of the world's top ice hockey players.
