Question

So as most of you know Westen media is obsessed with the Hammas/Israel conflict.

Most people where I live are completely oblivious that there are many other players in this game (Iran, Lebanon etc) and that this part of the world has been unfortunately under conflict for a very long time. Since like the founding of Islam at least?

Is your country/area/friends completely unaware of this as well?

Since the founding of Islam? You do know ancient sumerian cities were always at war with each other, right? Or what about the Hitites invasion, followed by the Assyrian empire, the Babylonians, the Persians, the Macedonians, etc. That region has always been a crossroad of different enemy people.

I don't think my country overall knows that this is a conflict that's been happening for a long time, but in high school we study that. So, yeah, maybe unaware of this.
Most news here are about the violence itself, but a few try to explain it with History facts about it.
But tbh, people here are so lazy about actually learning and understanding things, especially History, that I could say they are completely unaware of it.
