Question

Why are there so few people that have seen or even know about this movie trilogy?

"Kingdom of the planet of the apes" is now in theatres but I haven't heard anyone talk about it. Are you planning to go see it and are you a fan of these movies?

Know of them well. Started off with reading Pierre Boulle's original book of the concept "La planète des singes", found it in the school library when looking for French texts to read, and later discovered the English translated version. Following that, watched the original series of films which started with Charlton Heston as a main character in the first and a secondary one in the next. The following films in that continuity were a bit of a mixed bag. Roddy McDowell and Kim Hunter's portrayals were always enjoyable to watch, however.

Was hoping the Tim Burton one would be followed up, but it wasn't. However, it doesn't matter since we have the most recent series of them to watch.

This modern series of them is very enjoyable, fascinating and well executed topical updates to the universe it is set in. Plenty to talk about for film buffs indeed.

I watched it yesterday 😅 but to be honest I don’t remember which previous ones I’ve seen because it was so long ago, I kinda wanna rewatch in order.

I have a question if you’ve seen kingdom of the apes though:
