On This Day Day History - May 13, 1940

May 13, 1940 #OTD World War II: The Battle of the Grebbeberg ended in German victory. Dutch casualties were heavy. In total, 18 officers and 399 NCOs and men had lost their lives during the three days of battle. German casualties were lower, but this has led to some contention since many eye-witness reports do not match those figures that the Germans released.
