May 15, 1940 #OTD The first McDonald’s restaurant opened in San Bernardino, California. Burgers were sold at 15¢, fries at 10¢, an ice-cold Coke for 10¢, and triple-thick shakes were only 20¢. Owned and operated by siblings Richard and Maurice McDonald.
