North Carolina and makerspaces

Anyone here from NC or in it? I'm moving there in 3 months and when I get there I want to be able to find a makerspace or a c&c shop for some projects in or near Greensboro. Have some ideas for an arm cannon I wanna design based on my current profession in aviation engineering.
