Throughout the series, Dr. Z becomes increasingly desperate in his hunt for dinosaur cards, often resorting to extreme measures to obtain them. Despite his villainous ways, he does have a bit of a soft spot for his subordinates in the Alpha Gang, particularly his assistant Dr. Spike Taylor.
