Paul Angelis was an actor, writer, and voice-over artist who hailed from the United Kingdom. Born on January 18, 1943, in Liverpool, England, Angelis was best known for his work in the Beatles' films and his voice-over work in the beloved animated series, "Yellow Submarine." Throughout his career, Angelis appeared in a number of films and television programs, earning a reputation as a versatile and talented actor. Angelis began his career as a comedian, and he performed stand-up comedy in the clubs of Liverpool during the 1960s. He later transitioned to writing and acting, and he landed his first significant role in the Beatles' 1965 film, "Help!" Angelis played the character of Bhuta, a member of a sinister cult who pursues the band throughout the film. He went on to appear in several other Beatles projects, including the films "Magical Mystery Tour" and "Let It Be." Angelis also enjoyed a successful career in voice-over work. He provided the voice for two of the Beatles in the animated film "Yellow Submarine" - Ringo Starr and George Harrison - as well as several other characters in the film. He also appeared in other animated features such as "Watership Down" and "The Plague Dogs." Angelis continued to act and work as a voice-over artist until his death in March 2009 at the age of 66, leaving behind a rich and varied legacy in the world of entertainment.
