Arnold Scholten is a former professional football player from the Netherlands, born on December 2, 1962. He is widely recognized for his contributions to the Dutch national team during the 1980s and 1990s, as well as for his successful club career. Scholten primarily played as a midfielder, known for his versatility and ability to adapt to different positions on the field. Scholten began his professional career with the Dutch club Fortuna Sittard in 1981. His impressive performances and skill caught the attention of bigger clubs, and in 1985, he made a move to Feyenoord, one of the most prestigious football clubs in the Netherlands. During his time at Feyenoord, Scholten helped the team secure several significant victories, including winning the Eredivisie title in the 1992-1993 season. Between 1986 and 1995, Scholten represented the Dutch national team in 38 matches, scoring five goals. He played in several major tournaments, including the UEFA Euro 1988, where the Netherlands claimed the championship title.
