Amy O'Neill is a former American actress known for her role as Amy Szalinski in the 1989 Disney adventure/comedy film “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.” She was born on July 8, 1971, in the United States of America, and began her career as an actress at a young age. O'Neill made her feature film debut in "White Dwarf," where she portrayed a young girl who suffered from dwarfism. Following her role in “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids,” Amy O'Neill appeared in the film's sequels, "Honey, I Blew Up the Kid" and "Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves." In addition to her work in the film industry, O'Neill has also made television appearances in shows such as "The Young and the Restless" and "Picket Fences". Her last credited role was in the 1997 TV movie “The Canterville Ghost.” After retiring from acting, O'Neill became a teacher. She reportedly teaches screenwriting at Santa Monica College in Santa Monica, California. In an interview, she cited her experience as an actress as the reason for her interest in teaching. O'Neill has also experimented with writing screenplays of her own, including a script for a film that she co-wrote with her son.
