The wing has a special profile so that the air flow creates negative pressure on its upper surface. As a result, a vortex is created at the wing tip of a flying plane: air begins to flow from under the wing above it, rotating around the wing tip path. At the center of this vortex, the air pressure is lower than in the surroundings: it is close to the pressure above the tip of the wing. As a result of expansion, the temperature of the air drops and is lower than in the surroundings. If it drops below the dew point, the vapor in the air condenses. During sudden maneuvers, the difference in pressure between the upper and lower surfaces of the wing often increases, the vortex becomes more intense, the drop in pressure and temperature in its axis is greater, and in such conditions the dew point is reached more often and water vapor condenses. The place where the vortex is created does not have to be the wing tip, a similar phenomenon occurs, for example, at the end of the landing flaps, whose task is to increase the lift force - the pressure difference above and below the wing. This is clearly seen in this film. It is worth knowing that the formation of a vortex at the tip of the wing reduces its effectiveness, hence many modern aircraft have special structures at the wingtips (called "winglets") to prevent the creation of a vortex.👍
