Born on June 4, 1953, in Dumbarton, Scotland, Jimmy started to show interest in music at a very young age. He was just 11 years old when he formed his first band called "One in a Million." In 1969, Jimmy Mac started his professional music career by joining the progressive rock band "Thunderclap Newman." He was only 16 then, and his exceptional guitar skills were soon noticed by other musicians. In 1972 he joined the band "Stone the Crows," which included Maggie Bell, another Scottish musician. He played with the band for two years, where he showcased his excellent guitar skills and became known as one of the most talented guitarists of his generation. Jimmy Mac's most significant achievement was joining "Wings," the band formed by former Beatle, Paul McCartney.
