An age old question, Sub or Dub?

No matter how many dulingo courses I have taken, I can not seem to pick up Japanese. This ofcourse leaves me with 2 options. Sub or Dub. To which I've always found myself in the Dub camp. It lets me split my attention up. Beyond that I have found, that although the voice acting of subs does provide feeling, my attention is on the translations, always leading to a disconnect from that emotion & action on screen. Is it just me? Side question: Any language apps out there that skip the wrighting /reading the language and go straight for the verbal communication? (bewerkt)

Sub, I really hate the English voices. They are all the same with hardly any emotion

Sub for first watch, so I can appreciate the storyline, then dub for second watch so I can appreciate the animation

I’m probably going to watch dubs even after I’ve learned Japanese maybe…

Sub, mainly as I prefer to hear all media in the native/intended language
