I feel the weight of quiet chains, A tender ache that still remains. At freedom’s edge my wings are bound, Where whispered warnings still resound. Inside my heart, like dew at dawn, Doubt falls in droplets, soft and drawn. Each drop recalls a wall so high, Built before I learned to fly. Loneliness and hope combine, In quiet spaces where dreams align. I stand upon the edge of day, A silent shadow led astray. Though gentle chains may softly ring, I hear a call that makes me sing. I long to break these bonds apart, And free the love within my heart. Yet love remains a distant sound, A dream that’s waiting to be found. I yearn for warmth to light my night, A beacon pure, a guiding light. I wish for love both free and true, A spark to make my spirit new. To find a place where I belong, And join life’s dance with hope and song.
