On This Day in History - May 11, 1940
May 11, 1940 #OTD World War II: The Battle of the Grebbeberg began in the central Netherlands. The 207th Infantry Division commanded by Karl von Tiedemann and part of the 18th Army had been tasked with overrunning the Grebbeberg within a day.
