What are some boundaries you set for yourself?

Hey everybody-- 👋😁 I was wondering about this tonight as I have been dealing with an engaged coworker who takes their flirting too far with most of the female staff at my work place. I recognize this sort of circumstance can go one of several ways, and I have been handling it professionally by only engaging with the individual in question by sticking to work related subjects and not engaging in anything they try to ask or talk about that is too personal. This is a coworker I barely know as we work different shifts, but often they jump and bound way over the line when we're in proximity to one another, or really, if they are near most of the colleagues who are younger. I have no interest whatsoever in someone I not only work with, but who is allegedly taken. And I have made this known before as I've found through witnessing such things that workplace romances are generally terrible for all involved parties- so I do my best to stay out of them. As far as work goes, I am okay and pretty sure some of the other women have already complained, but I don't think it's at the point yet where I would choose to report in just yet, and I wanted to hear how others deal with unwanted flirting in this context or hear how others deal with boundary pushers in general in their personal lives. 🤔 I seperate my work life from my personal life, so for me this is especially awekward as I don't think I've given any sign of interest in them after how cringey the first, mostly one-sided conversation was, and that time was just a simple "Hello, nice to meet you" happenstance that went way off the rails. How would you wonderful beings deal with this sort of thing? Please and thank you. 💗 (editado)
