Personal Summary of Ch X. The Race Element- "Short Studies in Literature" By Hamilton Wright Mabie

Personal Summary: Undoubtedly, each and every race is to have their diverse set of personality in literature. The characteristics, inspiration, experiences, environments, etc. are what shape the unique style of many great authors and epics of many races that adds the elemental spark or impression of a narrative. This is what demonstrates unique qualities and attractiveness to a work of art. However, on the other hand, the universal core quality in literature as described by Mabie in this chapter, yet again, is "genius" or what I was hoping to bring forth as, “inheritance.” As you can not have one without the other and inheritance still borders or remains linear to the quality of genius for it is “inherited.” Mabie mentions we have a “common memory, a common history, and a common consciousness.” I will reutter the words that Mabie said before “call it what you will” and then in my own words will add to- and I state, “this miraculous phenomenon that we call genius that so seemingly stems from Divine inheritance, without it, we would not do the things we do, we would not be the beings we are. We indeed emulate a Creator. One, and only One of which were created in His image. We have a universal consciousness. We are uni-. We are all of One. We are all from One. That One is in us. And in us, will lead back to Him through this splendor of intercourse- the affair between genius and soul. (editado)
