Despite his achievements, Miller's coaching career wasn't limited to Wittenberg and Ohio State. He also held coaching positions at Western Michigan University and Northern Iowa University. In addition, Miller had the opportunity to coach internationally, leading the United States team at the 1995 FIBA Under-21 World Championship, where they won the gold medal.
