After understanding the plot of 'Close' (2022), I actually somewhat understood why did Japan win an Academy Award in the following year.  

Simple. The Jury there didn't choose 'Monster' (2023) as its entry, which nearly had the same theme and plot too revolving two early teen boys. Interestingly, while both won accolades at the Cannes Film Festival,  one award was common : The Queer Palm. 

No wonder, Japan chose 'Perfect Days' rather, that eventually got them the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film!

It’s all people talk about nowadays. Some creatives have already embraced it. Others refuse to, guided by the fear of being obsolete. 

And that’s understandable. Till now we believed that AI could not replace the human creativity. 

Or can it?

I believe AI can and will revolutionise and enhanced the field of photography.

BUT it will never replace the desire for authentic memories, the emotional connection, and the creation of genuine experiences. 

And it will never replace the unique contribution that photographers make in capturing the essence of people’s lives, preserving invaluable memories and telling stories that will endure for generations to come. 

Nobody can stop progress so remaining curious, informed and engaged is the best attitude.

In a world that’s becoming increasingly artificial, the way to stand out as humans is to become more human and to lean on human attributes that AI cannot replicate.

No Filters: Keep it real. Filters can be misleading.

No Bathrooms: Just... no. Please! We already know you're swiping in the bathroom. We don't need visual proof of that! 

No Pillow Selfies: they're super awkward

No Exes: It’s confusing and awkward. You don't want to spend your time explaining yourself.

No Kids: especially if they're not yours. Even if they're yours, I'd only mention them in the bio... unless you want to stay single forever... no, joking of course

No Shirtless Photos: Keep it classy! Well, you can have one, if you insist but if you're at the pool or the beach.
